Triple Draw Poker is a family of lowball card games that have been around for a very long time but are relatively unknown to most online poker players. The most popular Triple Draw lowball poker game is 2-7 Triple Draw. Another version is A-5 Triple Draw. All Triple Draw poker games are set up in the 5 Card Draw format. The games mentioned above are basically 5 Card Draw with 3 draws and the objective is to get the lowest hand. The only thing that separates the two games is the definition of the lowest hand, rather or not straights and flushes count and the rank of an ace. As the names imply the best hand in 27 Triple Draw is 2-3-4-5-7 because straights and flushes count in this version and aces are always high.
In A5 Triple Draw straights and flushes do not count so the best hand is A-2-3-4-5, otherwise known as the Wheel. Aces are always low in this version. Both of these games are commonly played in single draw format as well but this web site focuses on the more common Triple Draw format because that is what is most popular at online poker rooms.
There are only two online poker rooms that offer Triple Draw poker. Pokerstars is by far the better of the two because of the number of active real money tables you will find around the clock there. Aced Poker is the only room that offers both 2-7 and A-5 Lowball but the traffic at those tables is very low and sometimes non-existent. Each room has it's own merits though. I have wrote a review for each so the choice is yours. Each review contains the detailed general information you would expect to find in any review but they also have a section dedicated to the Triple Draw action at each room. You can also receive special bonuses at these rooms when you sign-up through this site.

You will find in-depth Triple Draw poker rules and strategy articles on this site. I may not be an English major but I am an experienced Triple Draw poker player so you can rest assured that the information found on this site is accurate and will make you a better player. My buddy also had a hand in writing some of these articles and he has been playing Triple Draw poker longer than I have. Triple Draw card games are extremely difficult to master, this is what makes them so profitable. Most of you probably grew up playing 5 Card Draw at family card games so learning the rules will be very easy. Its the strategies like hand selection that can be tough.
In games like Texas Holdem you don't have to make any decisions that will effect your hand. In Triple Draw you have to make win/lose decisions every step of the way. You can't base your decisions off of what an odds chart or some poker software tells you because the game is so complex and to be honest none exist that I know of. There are just too many factors. To quote "The Oracle" from The Matrix, "You can't see past a choice you don't understand". The following articles will help you understand the factors in Triple Draw better so that you can make the choice, hopefully the better choice. Since 2-7 Triple Draw is the more popular of the two I have listed those articles first.
